Jan Spaas & Cedric Bocqué
DVM, ISELP
Jan Spaas became a veterinarian in 2010 and obtained his doctorate from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ghent University, where he is now a visiting professor. In 2012, he co-founded a stem cell company that launched two products on the European market. In 2020, his company was acquired by Boehringer Ingelheim, for which he worked for another four years: in the US and in Germany as Global Head of Research.
He is a supervisor of doctoral students, inventor of 50 patents, and lead author of more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
In 2024, he co-founded Intibio, which focuses on innovative orthopedic solutions for horses.
Cedric Bocqué was a passionate eventing and show jumping rider in his youth. This passion led him to become a veterinarian, followed by an internship and a job in a mobile equine practice. He completed the ISELP program and specialized in orthopedics. Since 2018, he has been head of the Orthopedics Department at the Via Nova equine clinic.
