Sylvie Daminet

Prof. Dr. Sylvie Daminet is Professor of Internal Medicine for Companion Animals at Ghent University and Head of the Department of Internal Medicine. She studied veterinary medicine at the University of Liège and specialized in Canada, where she became a diplomate of both the American and European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM & ECVIM-CA).
Her research and clinical expertise lies in endocrinology and nephrology. Under her supervision, 15 PhDs have already been successfully completed and numerous residents have been trained to become diplomates of the ECVIM-CA. She has published more than 200 scientific articles and held leadership positions within international organizations, including as president of the European Society of Veterinary Endocrinology.
