The FANC is the Belgian nuclear safety authority responsible for protecting workers, the population and the environment against the risks of ionising radiation.
The veterinary sector also uses equipment and substances that emit ionising radiation. The FANC regulates, licenses and inspects, but also provides information to the veterinary sector.
