Koen graduated cum laude from Utrecht University in 2015. He worked in general and referral practice until 2020, then began his ECVN residency at IVC Evidensia Small Animal Hospital Arnhem and Hart van Brabant in the Netherlands. He completed his residency in 2022 and became an ECVN diplomate in 2024. Koen has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in veterinary neurology as a first author and co-authored several others. Currently, he is involved in various research projects, with a passion for clinical neurology and neurosurgery.
